Join artist Rebecca Hayes for a three-hour mixed media workshop inspired by the colours, textures and forms found in nature.
Presented alongside Rebecca's exhibition, Gathered From The Landscape, this workshop offers participants the opportunity to explore a range of mixed media techniques while creating their own layered botanical artwork.
During the workshop you will learn:
• How to build layers that create depth and visual interest
• Colour selection and colour mixing techniques
• Mark making and texture
• Composition and design principles
• Ways to combine different materials within a single artwork
Suitable for all skill levels, this workshop is designed to be both accessible and inspiring. Whether you are new to art or looking to expand your creative practice, you will receive guidance throughout the process.
All materials are supplied and participants will take home their completed artwork.
Participants are welcome to bring their own materials, including pencils, watercolour pencils, water-soluble crayons, paint markers, chalk pastels and oil pastels. Rebecca will demonstrate how these materials can be used effectively within a mixed media process.
